The India launch of the budget-centric Moto E5 Plus has been confirmed for July 10. As expected, the phone will be exclusive to Amazon, just like the Moto G6. A team of four researchers from the Ruhr-University in Bochum, Germany, and New York University Abu Dhabi in the UAE, haverevealedthat the ‘data link layer’ of LTE networks have at least three critical vulnerabilities that could potentially allow attackers to not only eavesdrop on targets, but also direct users to hostile websites. UIDAI claims that the Aadhaar database can’t be breached even by the world’s fastestsupercomputers, but it appears that you don’t need a supercomputer to steal Aadhaar data, and in turn, someone’s identity. A SIM card distributor in Hyderabad recently discovered this trick and exploited it to activate around 6,000 SIM cards in the names of people whose biometrics and identification details he obtained by 100% legal means....
