OnePlus has dominated the budget flagship domain for some time now. While the company is now facing some heat from rivals such as Honor and Asus, the Chinese giant still reigns at the top andseems undisturbed by competition. Now, while the company has been pushing out updates for their latest flagship, the OnePlus 6, it has also promised new features for the OnePlus 5/5T. However, many were left wondering about the OnePlus 3/3T, and where they stood in OnePlus’ plans....

Samsung captured 34 per cent share of the premium segment while Apple 14 percent – its lowest ever. “The uptick in consumer demand in the premium segment was driven by increasing offers around the new launches as compared to a year ago,” said the report, released late on Monday. The top three brands, Samsung, OnePlus and Apple, contributed 88 percent of the overall premium market as compared to 95 percent a quarter ago....

With Reliance Industries’ stock price hitting an all-time high of Rs. 1,179 on BSE earlier today, the conglomerate has gone past Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to become the most valuable company in India. The Mukesh Ambani-led company is now said to be worth Rs. 7.41 lakh crore as opposed to TCS’ market-cap of Rs. 7.39 lakh crore. The company’s stock has gained around 28 percent this year on the back of strong growth in the petrochemical, retail and telecom sectors....

SamsungElectronics on Tuesdayreported0.1 percent dip in its second quarter net profit from a year earlier amid slower sales of its Galaxy S9 andS9 Plussmartphones. The company posted an operating profit of 14.87 trillion won ($13.4bn) in the April-June period, down 5.4 percent from the record 15.64 trillion won the company earned in the previous quarter. The results mark the company’s the first quarterly decline in operating profit after several quarters of record growth....

Audio-video sharing platform Snapchat has struck deals with the National Football League (NFL) and NBC Sports Group to offer more sports programming to its users. In its deal with NBC, the company would team up on “Premier League: Extra Time”, which is a weekly show that recaps UK’s top-tier soccer or football matches. “Each Monday throughout the Premier League season, the show will bring snapchatters in the US a recap of the weekend’s top action and standout storylines, while also spotlighting the super fans that make the league one of the most popular in the world,”NBC Group wrote in a blog post late on Monday....

In line with its efforts to curb abuse and harassment of users on its platform, Twitter has now selected two research projects that aim to develop metrics to measure the “health” of public conversation.“An update! Global cab-hailing platform Uber has stopped developingself-driving trucksas the programme was no longer competitive in the freight shipping industry, the company announced. Uber said on Monday that it wants to refocus on the self-driving car programme, which was halted following a crash in which a Uber autonomous car killed a pedestrian in Arizona in March, reports Xinhua news agency. Employees in the San Francisco-based self-driving truck division will be relocated to other internal units, including the Pittsburgh-based self-driving car programme....

The upgraded version of National Payments Corporation of India’s real-time payment system, the Unified Payments Interface (UPI), will debut in August. Sources familiar with the knowledge of the new developments have revealed that the next version of UPI, dubbedUPI 2.0, will be up and ready by mid-August and will come with multiple new features. With UPI transactions growing by over1,000%on a YoY basis, banking institutions have been eagerly anticipating the arrival of UPI’s upgraded version to give another major push to digital payments in the country, and as per the new reports, their wait will finally come to an end two weeks from now....

The campaign on Monday announced that it will accept Bitcoin, Ethereum, and anything on the ERC20 standard within a maximum of $2,500, reports Xinhua news agency. Venmo payments of up to $2,700 are also acceptable.
