In a breakthrough approach that combinedvirtual realityand artificial tactile sensations, amputees felt as though their prosthetic hand was part of their own body as part of a new study. In the study, scientists from the Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland, used an astute combination of two senses — sight and touch, to convince amputees that the prosthetic hand belonged to their own body. The results, published in the Journal of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry, also showed that the phantom limb grows into the prosthetic hand....

Back in June, Xiaomi unveiled theMi Pad 4tablet, and in less than two months after its announcement, Xiaomi has now lifted the covers from a better-equipped variant called the Mi Pad 4 Plus. The Mi Pad 4 Plus brings a host of improvements over the Mi Pad 4, such as a higher-resolution display, a bigger battery as well as a fingerprint sensor. The Mi Pad 4 Plus features the same metallic build as the smaller Mi Pad 4, except for a fingerprint sensor located below the display, however, there is also AI Face Unlock on board for authentication....

Online startup RentoMojo has announced the launch of its smartphone rental service that will offer high-end mobile devices, like Apple’siPhone X, Samsung’sGalaxy S9+and Google’sPixel 2through its platform that’s known for renting out furniture, appliances, gadgets and bikes in a number of major metropolitan areas around the country. In a statement to the media, the founder and CEO of RentoMojo, Geetansh Bamania, said that he expects the new smartphone rental service to bring more customers to the platform and increase transaction volumes....
